ASUW A&E Show 2015 - Rae Sremmurd

As the school year winds to an end in the next few weeks, the UW student government, the Associated Students of the University of Washington (or ASUW for short), puts on a spring concert called the ASUW A&E Show. This year, some of the acts were SZA, A-Trak and Rae Sremmurd. While I hadn't heard of all of the acts, I knew I wanted to try my hand at concert photography!

When I got there, the HUB lawn was filled with people! Some people had gotten there quite early to make sure they had a spot up front against the rail.

The show opened with SZA, an upcoming alternative artist.

Once the show started, everyone was on their feet and enjoying their time at the concert. I couldn't believe how many people had showed up for this.

Rae Sremmurd followed and was the biggest artist at the event. 

One thing that was difficult about photographing this is that these guys MOVE! They didn't stop moving around the stage for their entire performance. The hardest part was making sure that their eyes were in focus, which was hard because the mic was always moving in front of their faces, which didn't let me grab focus too easily.

During the last couple songs, they started pulling people from the crowd on-stage with them.

It was awesome being up so close to the event and being able to photograph the up and coming artists that are always at this event!
