Trip to LA: Santa Monica and Griffith Observatory

If you didn't check out the first blog post from my trip to LA, make sure to check it out here!

For the last day in Los Angeles, we all headed over to Santa Monica for the day to check out the famous Santa Monica Pier and walk over to Venice Beach to see the famous "Muscle Beach." We ended up walking around for the afternoon and stuck around until sunset.

I made sure to bring a tripod so I could grab some nice sunset photos!

We were super fortunate to have a wonderful sunset for the night!! The colors were some of the best that I have ever seen and was a great way to end the stay in LA.

We ended the night by heading over the Griffith Observatory, which has some wonderful views of downtown LA and the surrounding cities. I think my favorite place about this site was the architecture and that it provided a great foreground for the cityscape.

It was a wonderful trip and Eric and his family were excellent hosts!! I think I'm already missing the warm weather here in the PNW.
