Hollywood Sign Hike and UCLA

This past week was my spring break and for part of it, me and my friend Jake planned to spend some time in LA with our friend Eric. We started our first day in LA with a hike up to the Hollywood sign.

We started by hiking up behind the sign. It was a little cloudy, which limited visibility, but it was a gorgeous day and was perfect weather for a hike!

Once at the top, there were some great views of downtown LA, Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The signage was hard to see due to lots of security gates, which we weren't daring enough to trespass against.

The sites from the front of the sign were wayyyy better! It was cool to see the Hollywood sign up close.

After the sign, we headed over to UCLA to take a quick tour of the campus and walk around.

The campus was beautiful, but it was weird not to see many people there since everyone was on spring break.

We headed over to see Pauley Pavilion and the tennis complex before making a stop at Drake Track and Field Stadium. When we saw it was completely open, we took a lap and of course had to make use of the long jump pit.

Make sure to keep an eye out for my next blog post about my LA trip coming up!!
